Another month – another BoxyCharm review! Welcome to my February 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box Review. This month’s base box has a total value of $163.95! BoxyCharm is a monthly makeup subscription that costs $25USD (+5 shipping if you are in Canada like me). Interested in trying out BoxyCharm? Use my referral link here.
This month’s theme was “Boxy XOXO”. This was actually a fun theme because 1) of Valentine’s Day and 2) I actually received TWO products that related to the theme! Each month BoxyCharm gives their base subscribers one choice item in their box. For February, we had the choice between the Brow Bar by Reema’s Bombshell Brow Kit, Ace Beautè Nostalgia Palette and the Wander Beauty Getaway Eye and Face Palette. Keep on reading to find out what products I received in my February 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box!
TULA Skincare So Poreless Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub
This deep exfoliating scrub purifies skin and helps minimize the look of pores and blackheads. It boasts a powerful ingredient list such as probiotic extracts to help improve skin smoothness, volcanic sand (!!!), pink salt, and pomegranate that provides a deep exfoliation, witch hazel and raspberry leaves to minimize pore and the appearance of blackheads, as well as hibiscus flower acid to help dissolve dirt and unclog pores. This scrub is formulated with all those unnecessary ingredients and is cruelty-free.
I was super excited excited to try this exfoliating scrub! It had no scent and was a pretty purple iridescent colour. It was no where near as abrasive as many of the other exfoliator scrubs are. After one use, my pores visibly looked smaller and my skin felt smooth. I also struggle with dry skin between my brows and it completely removed it! I am obsessed with this scrub and can’t wait to add it to my regular skincare routine.

GLAMIERRE Pink Luxe Glitter Eye Brush Collection
These Pink Luxe Glitter Eye Brushes are super cute! They have beautiful little glitter hearts in the handles and I just love them so much. Although the plastic case that the brushes came in is super cheap looking and feeling. This brush collection came with 4 eye brushes: a dense blending brush, a shader brush, an angled eyeliner brush, and a smudging brush. This is a new launch and isn’t even on GLAMIERRE’s website yet.
These brushes are so soft and feel like a good quality brush. I really, really liked the dense blending brush because the small size fit really nicely in the crease area. I wish it would’ve included a larger blending brush, but overall I was really happy with the brushes.
COST: $29.95 USD / ~ $38.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)
NCLA Beauty So Rich Love Potion
This limited edition vitamin-e infused cuticle oil revitalizes and hydrates your cuticles. It has the cutest little red heart and iridescent floating glitter – which is super appropriate for this months theme. I think it is such a cute, little detail. This cuticle oil is vegan and cruelty free.
This cuticle oil smells really chemically, which is to be expected considering it is a nail product. I like that this cuticle oil had a dropper rather than a brush for application. After one application, my cuticles were visibly more hydrated. I don’t really enjoy receiving nail products in my BoxyCharm boxes, but this one wasn’t bad.
COST: $18.00 USD / ~$23.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)
Trèstique Eye Duo
This eye duo contains the Good Vibes Mascara + Eye Pencil. The Good Vibes mascara is an all-in-one lash lifting mascara that lengthens and volumizing effect. The tube was a little bit bulky because of the curler, but I have never seen a product like this before which is super neat. The eye pencil includes a built-in baby smudger. I received the shade Santorini Black Sand.
The eyelash curler was very cool, but also slightly terrifying to use. Because of the size, you can only curl have a lash at a time, and I pinched my lid attempting to use it. The mascara was nice, lengthening, and does not clump.
The liner was very creamy and pigmented; however, I don’t wear pencil liners very often so I do not see me getting a lot of use out of this product. The baby smudger was really nice and smudges out liner fantastically. I would like to try it with eye shadow and see if it has a similar effect.
COST: $44.00 USD / ~ $56.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)
Brow Bar by Reema Bombshell Brow Kit
This Bombshell Brow Kit helps you completely transform your brows. The kit includes tweezers, 2 brow powders, a brow definer pencil, a spoolie and brush, brow lift concealer and brow highlighter. The products are paraben and cruelty free!
I really liked that this brow kit came with all of the tools. Typically I used pencils and pomades to do my brows. I found that the powder wasn’t as precise in creating hair-like strokes. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the colour of the pomade, but once I applied my tinted brow gel – I didn’t mind it. The brow pencil is really nice and creamy. I did not care for the brow lift concealer (but that could be because I am due for a tweeze…) or the highlighter.
COST: $40.00 USD / ~$51.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)
Final Thoughts on the February 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box
Overall, the February 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box was better than I expected. When I opened the box, I was kind of disappointed. However, after trying the products I was really satisfied. The value of this month’s box was $163.95 USD / $208 CAD. You cannot complain about that value for a $25 box. What products did you receive in this months box?! Until next time, XX.
