This month’s theme was “Boxy Lucky. Each month BoxyCharm gives their base subscribers one choice item in their box. For March, we had the choice between the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, Too Faced Damn Girl! Mascara, and GLOW RECIPE Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream. Keep on reading to find out what products I received in my March 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box!

Lime Crime Venus III Eyeshadow Palette

This is an 8 pan eyeshadow with lilac, rose gold, mauve, and earthy brown shades. The palette packaging is really chunky. I’ve never used any products from the Lime Crime brand, so I was excited to try this palette out; but, these are not typically colours I reach for.

The colours in this palette are really pretty. I really liked the the shimmer shades, and they are pretty pigmented and build nicely. The matte shadows are not the most pigmented but they build up really nicely. The shadows also stay really nicely without primer. I just wish that there was more variety in the colours.

COST: $38.00 USD / ~ $48.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)

Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream

Glow Recipe is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their products are more on the affordable side for skincare, and their packaging is glass and really luxurious. This moisture cream smells like Banana Cream. It says that this is a soothing and lightweight moisturizer that is non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. This moisture cream contains a blend of banana, chia seed, magnesium, turmeric, and cica. It is rated clean at Sephora and cruelty-free!

This moisture cream is super light-weight and hydrating. It didn’t bother my sensitive skin and I just LOVED the scent. I can see it being really soothing on irritated skin as well. I wouldn’t say that is my favourite moisturizer out there, but I did enjoy it!

COST: $39.00 USD / $50.00 CAD (on

Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

This antioxidant rose water setting spray claims to lock in your makeup and make it smudge proof for up to 16 hours. I love the orange coloured packaging of the setting spray. I had never heard of this brand before but apparently it is sold at Fashion Nova.

This setting spray is really nice. It isn’t overly fragranced, and is really refreshing. It spritzes out in a nice quantity and isn’t over-powering. But, I didn’t find it actually do the greatest job of setting my makeup.

COST: $22.00 USD / $29.00 CAD (on

The Beauty Crop Avocado Hydrating Eye Mask

The avocado and green tea eye masks are supposed to help depuff and hydrate tired eyes. It came with 3 sets of eye masks in the box. I don’t think I’ve ever used something by this brand before.

These eye masks weren’t really anything special. They didn’t stay on the eye area very well. While they did hydrate the eye area, I didn’t notice a drastic difference in my under eye area after using them.

COST: $18.00 USD / ~ $23.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)

KAB Cosmetics Hydrating Lip Oil

This hydrating lip oil claims to be a non-sticky, burst of hydration for your lips. I received the tint Rum Punch. Lip oils seem to be a really popular beauty product right now. Apparently they are more hydrating and less sticky than lip gloss.

I really liked this lip oil a lot. It was super hydrating and glossy, and looked very natural on my lips. It was also very comfortable. This was probably my favourite product in this months box! I probably never would’ve tried a lip oil if it wasn’t for receiving one in my BoxyCharm.

COST: $20.00 USD / ~ $25.00 CAD (based on the current exchange rate)

Overall, the March 2021 BoxyCharm Base Box wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t one of my favourite boxes, but it definitely wasn’t the worst! I will definitely get use out of most of the products one way or another. The value of this month’s box was $137.00 USD / $175.00 CAD. You cannot complain about that value for a $25 box. What products did you receive in this months box?! Until next time, XX.
